Virginia M. Reagan, at the age of 91, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at the Mayer’s Memorial Burney Annex.

Virginia was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Medora, N.D., to Edward and Ruey Morrison. She married E.O. Norman Torgrimson of Absorkee, Mont., in 1941. They moved to Big Valley, Calif., after World War II to raise their family. In 1956, Norman was killed in a tragic logging accident. Virginia remarried to William Reagan in 1957, and moved to Burney, Calif., in 1959, where she resided until her death.

Virginia worked as a stenographer-secretary, ranch wife, and bookkeeper. Most of all, her favorite job was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Her utmost passion in life was having her family around her, and she also enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and eating candy. All who knew her loved her.

Virginia is survived by her sister, Thelma Parker of Placerville, Calif.; children, Reggy (Becky) Torgrimson of Morgan City, Connie Torgrimson of Placerville, Calif., Cindy (Tom) Broadway of Burney, Calif., Rocky (Becky) Torgrimson of Burney, Calif., Denise Glover of Red Bluff, Calif., and Bill (Iris) Reagan of Medford, Ore. In addition to her children, she leaves 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grand children, and one great-great-grandson.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012, at noon at Hillside Cemetery, Nubieber, Calif. Celebration of Life will follow at the Word of Life Assembly Church in Burney, Calif., at 2:30 p.m.
