Ophelia McClarty, 49, a native of Lafayette and resident of Centerville, died Saturday, March 31, 2012.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 7 at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 12 p.m. until funeral at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Nazarene Cemetery in Verdunville.

Ophelia leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Mrs. Celestine Thomas Favors of Verdunville; three daughters, Melanie Lumpkin and Latisha Drexler, both of Franklin and Clara Drexler of Baton Rouge; one son, Kevin Drexler of Verdunville; five sisters, Martha Bordelon, Yvonne Menson, Audrey Calhoun, Alisha Kemp and Trisha Mingo, all of Verdunville; five brothers, John Austin III and James Austin, both of Verdunville, Sgt. Rufus Austin of Jacksonville, Florida, Phillip Austin of Patterson and Vinnie Austin of Mobile, Alabama; eight grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Ophelia was preceded in death by her father, John Austin; and one grandchild.
