Franklin City Council members meet tonight in regular session for April.

Diane Freeman is slated to appear regarding the Running of the Bears 5K Run/Walk at this weekend’s Bayou Teche Black Bear Festival.

Police Chief Sabria McGuire is scheduled to present the results of a Hanson Street traffic study; Office of Development Director will report on the Broussard-Harris summer baseball and softball program, a youth arts program and the 2012 Art Walk; City Inspector Blake Steiner is slated to address blighted housing, and Fire Chief Chuck Bourgeois will discuss Twelfth Street fire hydrants.

There are ordinances set for adopting setting speed limits in the city.

The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall on Iberia Street.
