Franklin Senior High School students have been busy supporting worthy causes. At left, Principal Ty Burdett congratulates students Lacy St. Blanc and Lateyanna McDaniel who raised $1,001.02 for the Pennies for Patients program supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation. Each class donated to the foundation, and Todd Viator’s fourth block classes won the bronze pennant for raising the most money. In the second photo, Franklin High student and Future Farmers of America member Kristen Bodin and her sponsors raised a hog that was later donated to Chez Hope to help feed its clients. From left are Burdett, school board member Murphy Pontiff, Vanetta Thomas, Chez Hope, Kristen, school board member Mary Lockley, Ida Borel of Chez Hope and agriculture teacher Pete Boudreaux.
