Benjamin “Ben” Turner, 70, a native and a resident of Morgan City, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center at 3:01 p.m.

Visitation will be at New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City, Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Ben leaves to cherish his memories his wife, April Wilson Turner of Morgan City; five sons, Tyrone Turner, Harold Turner and George Turner, all of New Iberia, Alvin Turner and Kendrick Turner, both of South Carolina; two daughters, Veronica Turner Provost and Leatesa Turner Oakley, both of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Melvin Turner Jr., Donald Ray Turner, Wilbert and Harold Turner, all of Morgan City; two sisters, Linda Turner and Carolyn Turner, both of Morgan City’ 27 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
