A reception will be held June 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Collection located at 533 Royal St. in the French Quarter.
The forum will be held June 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at The Historic New Orleans Collection’s Williams Research Center located at 410 Chartres St., also in the French Quarter.

The day-long forum will feature talks and panel discussions on the vending, production and consumption of the quintessential Louisiana candy and its cousins. The culinary journey will wend its way from Mexico to Jamaica, from Puerto Rico to the Pelican State, and into praline-loving households worldwide.
The forum will open with a keynote address by culinary historian Jessica Harris and will feature distinguished speakers such as Fany Gerson, Nicole Taylor, Susan Tucker and Patrick Dunne.
