THE FRANKLIN LINE DANCERS recently visited the “Driftwood Man”, Adam Morales in Pierre Part. Adam Morales is called the Driftwood Man because he makes all types of things out of driftwood. He has a keen eye for art. When asked to name his favorite piece, Morales thinks a second and then names the Statue of Liberty. It is the centerpiece of the front yard, and has been the featured article at the American Visionary Museum in Baltimore. You may call 985-518-0835 to visit this exhibit and he will give you a piece of driftwood as a souvenir. The Franklin Line Dancers is a non-profit organization and the dancers are all members of the St. Mary Parish Council on Aging. They dance regularly at the Franklin Senior Center on Iberia Street. For further information, call the Senior Center at 828-1210.
