Jay and Angie Ancona Concienne of Franklin wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Ellen Concienne to Lucas Charles Hidalgo.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bernard Pat Ancona, Beverly “Woogie” Concienne and the late Charles Ray Concienne Sr. She is a graduate of both Hanson Memorial High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and she is currently employed with Catholic High School of New Iberia.

The prospective groom is the son of Dan and Suzan Hidalgo of Franklin. He is the grandson of Addie and Hugh Hogan and Alice and A.J. Hidalgo Jr. He is a graduate of both Hanson Memorial High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is currently employed with the Lafayette Sheriff’s Department.

The wedding ceremony will take place Saturday, June 2 at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin.
