Aucoin, Ishcomer, Pontiff lead CHS

Three top graduates will lead the Centerville High School class of 2012 during commencement ceremonies at 6 p.m. tonight in the school’s new gymnasium.

They are Hailey Michelle Aucoin, Bridget Nichole Ishcomer and Devin Michael Pontiff.

Hailey Michelle Aucoin, the daughter of Tammy Aucoin and William Buckner, is graduating with a 3.6833 grade point average.

During her high school career she has been involved in Senior Beta; cheerleading; Academic Rally; Family, Career and Community Leaders of America; and Future Farmers of America.

She has received the TOPS scholarship and St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce scholarship.

She will attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.

Bridget Nicole Ishcomer, the daughter of Aaron and Renee Ishcomer, is graduating with a 3.6167 grade point average.

Her activities include Senior Beta, FFA, and FCCLA and she received the Outstanding FFA member award in 2012.

She plans to attend a community college then transfer to Colorado Technical University to obtain a degree in history and foreign languages.

Devin Michael Pontiff, the son of Ernest Pontiff and Mavis Pontiff, is graduating with a 3.5667 grade point average.

In school he was involved in basketball, baseball, track, Senior Beta, Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, FFA, and STAR (Students Teaching and Reaching).

He has received TOPS, the United States Army Scholarship for academics and athletics, and the Centerville High School PTO Scholarship.

Devin plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to major in kinesiology.
