After several recent cases of property defacing from graffiti in Morgan City, an arrest has been made.

Wilson T. Guenard, 20, of Leona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at his home Monday at 6:55 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and five counts of criminal damage to property by defacing with graffiti. He admitted that he had defaced five locations in the Morgan City area with graffiti and was booked into the jail on a $1,846 bond, according to Chief Marc Folse of the Morgan City Police Department.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports one arrest, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert.

—Jules A. Joiner Sr., 41, of Belanger Street, Morgan City, arrested Monday at 6:08 p.m. on a warrant for violation of a protective order. Booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
