MONROE – The driver of an SUV veering constantly off the road before State Police pulled the vehicle over had an explanation.

Officers said when Veronica Terefenko, 28, of Monroe stumbled out of the Yukon she said she had only had a beer, which may or may not have combined badly with many anti-depressant medications she said she takes.

Additionally, she told troopers she had been receiving, reading and sending text messages while driving.

She was charged with DWI 1st, texting while driving and improper lane usage.
