The Thibodaux-based firm holds a contract on 11 acres near the corner of Johnston Street and Duhon Road, just south of the Mall of Acadiana.
Managing Partner Donny Rouse told The Daily Advertiser the chain hopes to open the store in late summer 2013.
Rouses stores in the parish are in Youngsville and on Bertrand near Congress in Lafayette.
