Annie Johnson, 60, a resident of Houma and native of Gibson, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11:05 a.m., at Terrebonne General Hospital.
Annie was a retired Home Health Aide from Gulf Coast Family and Teaching Service.
Visitation will be Friday, June 8 at St. James Baptist Church, 6319 South Bayou Black in Gibson, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Gibson.
Annie leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Don Jerome Johnson of Houma; her mother, Lorenia Johnson Hanzy of Gibson; one son, Bryant James Johnson and grandson, Devonte Stovall, both of Houma; four brothers, Elijah (Cheryl) Hanzy Jr. and Lionel (Shelia) Hanzy Sr., both of Gibson, Nathan (Joyce) Hanzy of Gray, La. and Claudel (Sylvia) Hanzy of Thibodaux; two sisters, Mrs. Cornelius (Louise) Joseph and Mrs. Clarence (Orelia) Turner, both of Gibson; a brother-in-law, Roland (Carrie) Owens Jr.; father-in-law, Roland Owens Sr., both of Gibson; and a host of relatives and friends.
Annie was preceded in death by her father, Elijah Hanzy Sr.; two brothers, Charles Wellington Hanzy and Alfred Lee Hanzy; and a sister, Annie Lee Pratt.
