Despite heavy downpours this weekend, local Swampland League games for today involving two of three local teams were set to go on as scheduled.
Taco Bell (Berwick) and Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic) were scheduled to host Robichaux Ford (Vandebilt Catholic) and XLR8 Sports (Ellender), respectively, in junior varsity and varsity action. In both contests, junior varsity will start at 5 p.m. followed by varsity at 7 p.m.
At Patterson, where the field still had standing water on it this morning, a game between Patterson and Bayou Boys (South Lafourche) was cancelled. No makeup date has been set yet.
