Sherman Arthur Madise, 34, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Thibodaux, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his residence.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13 at Sacred heart Catholic Church in Morgan City, from 8 a.m. until service at 12 p.m., with mass at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Sherman leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Florence Madise and her companion, Kenneth Brown of Berwick; his father, Calvin Johnson of Morgan City; his lovely aunts, Ms. Carolyn D. Thomas, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Watson and Ms. Angelee Johnson, all of Morgan City, Mrs. Ronnie (Debra) Myers of Berwick, Mrs. Frank (Monica) Jones and Mrs. Lawrence (Ellen) Madise, both of Patterson; and his uncles, Joseph Peter (Olivia) Madise of Morgan City and Norbert Madise of Baldwin; a host of cousins, relatives and friends; and his many caregivers.

Sherman was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daisy Mae Davis Madise, Eugene Madise, Calvin Johnson Jr. and Mary Johnson and other family members.

Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City/ Franklin/ Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
