Three charged with hydroponic marijuana system

BALL – Three people have been charged after State Police found more than 100 marijuana plants they were growing here.

Arrested were Sidney Wheeler, 32; Timothy Green, 27; and Abigail Jeffress, 25.

Troopers said the plants were growing in an indoor hydroponic system at a Woodlawn Drive residence in this Rapides Parish town. Also in the house, troopers said, were other drugs, guns and more than $18,000 cash.

Green and Jeffress are charged with cultivating marijuana. Wheeler’s charges also include illegal possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
