Miss LaShanna Toyelle Butler, 26, a resident and native of Patterson, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at 2:54 p.m., at Leonard Chabert Medical Center in Houma following a short illness.

She is survived by her mother, Berthena Butler King of Patterson; father, William Leslie Stokes of Morgan City; one sister, LaKisha Leslie Butler of Loreauville; and one nephew, Warren Harris III of Loreauville.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Church of Christ on Railroad Avenue in Morgan City.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with Brother Harry Benjamin officiating. Interment will follow in the Golden Queen Cemetery in Centerville.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
