Caitlin Morgan, a 2012 graduate of Central Catholic High School, was the national winner of the Knights of Columbus essay contest for her theme “The Responsibility of a Catholic Citizen in a Free Society.” Morgan received a certificate, plaque and a $250 check. She will be a freshman majoring in nursing at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux this fall. Here, Morgan is presented her prize by KC State Youth Chairman Delmas Forbes during a banquet Saturday.
