Mrs. Ruby Matthews Davis, 80, a resident of Gum Point Community and native of the St. Joseph Community, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at 11:50 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a short illness.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Willis Scott Williams of Franklin; one brother, George Matthews Jr. of San Diego, California; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.

Visitations will be observed Monday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Baptist Church in the St. Joseph Community.

Burial rites will be read Monday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Ronald Young officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
