St. Mary Central earned a 20-12 win over Morgan City in the opening game while Franklin posted a 15-9 win over Patterson in the nightcap.
Two games are on tap in the Dixie Youth 8 Year Old All-Star District Tournament at Caffery Park.
Franklin will square off against Morgan City at 5:30 p.m. before Thibodaux battles Patterson at 7 p.m.
The tournament continues with two additional games on Friday with Morgan City taking on Thibodaux at 5:30 p.m. and St. Mary Central squaring off against Patterson at 7 p.m.
The Dixie Youth All-Star District Tournament continues on Saturday with four games slated beginning at 10 a.m. with Franklin playing Morgan City. Saturday’s action has Thibodaux squaring off against St. Mary Central at 11:30 a.m. before Patterson takes on Morgan City at 1 p.m. In Saturday’s final game, Thibodaux battles Franklin at 2:30 p.m.
