St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of Robert Wayne Wilkerson, 33, of 1221 South Road, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 9:42 p.m. on charges of four counts of cruelty to animals. He was released on a summons, and the animals were taken by animal control.

Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents reported the arrest of John Delco, 47, of 1732 Filmore St., Morgan City, today at 12:06 a.m. on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Melissa Poole Lacroix, 34, of Opelousas, on charges of speeding, DWI, flight from an officer and possession of Schedule III narcotics with intent to distribute. No bond was set.

Dennis M. Delasbour, 40, of Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:52 p.m. on warrants from Iberia Parish charging him with failure to appear on traffic charges. He was released to Iberia authorities.
