THE MORGAN CITY Power Boat Association held a Miss Lake Palourde and Teen Miss Lake Palourde Pageant June 30 at Maison Jardin Assisted Living in Morgan City. From left are teen contestants Kelsey Mounier, second runner-up and Miss Photogenic; Whitney Verret, first runner-up and Miss Congeniality; Olivia Thibodeaux, Teen Miss Lake Palourde; and miss contestants Carlie Dupre, Miss Lake Palourde and Miss Photogenic; Breana Henry, first runner-up and Miss Congeniality; and Journey Hartley, second runner-up. Thibodeaux and Dupre will represent the MCPBA during its “Waves of Thunder” outboard races Friday-Sunday on Lake Palourde along La. 70 in Morgan City.
