A joint investigation resulted in the arrest of a Thibodaux man on various juvenile-related charges.

Investigators with the Franklin Police Department Criminal Investigations Division Technology Unit, Louisiana State Police, Thibodaux Police Department and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint investigation that led to the arrest of Jiba Raj Acharya, 42, of Thibodaux.

He was charged with two counts each of computer-aided solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes, attempted possession of pornography involving juveniles and indecent behavior with juveniles.

Calcasieu authorities also charged Acharya on a warrant with computer-aided solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes and indecent behavior with juveniles. Calcasieu set a bond of $80,000, and no bond was set on the joint charges.
