St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests this morning:

Joaquima J. Brown, 18, of 618 12th St., Franklin, was arrested today at 2 a.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, entering contraband into a jail and a warrant on charges of failure to appear on a simple battery charge.

Also arrested was Deshineda Conner, 25, of 501½ Ninth St., Franklin, at 2:36 a.m. today on charges of driving under suspension and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Both were detained at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center after jail personnel reportedly saw Brown placing a package beneath a garbage can outside the building. The package was reported to contain cigars, lighters, rolling paper, cigarettes, loose tobacco and marijuana. Conner allegedly drove Brown to the jail. No bonds were set.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Shontranice Monique McDaniel, 17, of Gum Street, Franklin, Thursday at 6:32 p.m. on a charge of remaining where forbidden. She was released on $500 bond.

Elizabeth Monique Collins, 31, of St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:21 p.m. on a charge of driving under suspension. She was released on $1,000 bond.

Cynthia Marie Antoine, 55, of Cayce Street, Franklin, was arrested today at 4:16 a.m. on charges of aggravated assault and resisting an officer with force. No bond was set.

Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Richard Higgins, 31, of Charenton, Thursday at 12:30 p.m. on a warrant charging him with simple assault. He turned himself in and was released on a summons.

Tommy Lee Enfinger, 27, of Charenton, was arrested Thursday at 7:40 p.m. on a charge of domestic abuse battery. He was held with no bond set.

Donald Williams, 29, of Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 9:10 p.m. on a Patterson warrant on charges of failure to appear on a charge of loud music. He was released to Patterson authorities.
