Franklin City Council members meet Tuesday in regular session for August.

Fire Chief Chuck Bourgeois is slated to present a Fire Certificate of Commendation in connection with an incident at Plantation Teche Apartments recently.

Office of Development Director Arlana Shields is scheduled to present an update on summer programs.

The council will consider introduction of an ordinance authorizing purchase of the city hall building, the former E.A. Crowell Elementary School, from the school board. They will also consider adoption of resolutions for grant applications.

Councilman Chuck Autin is slated to discuss a “garbage truck” and Mayor Raymond Harris will present the city’s official journal certificate.

The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall on Iberia Street.
