The 2012 edition of the Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival poster has been unveiled and is on sale now.
The poster, designed by Zoe Puryear of Bivens in Beauregard Parish, can be obtained at the festival office, 715 Second St., Morgan City, for $30.
Posters also will be on sale during the festival at the souvenir tent for $30.
The poster celebrates the 77th annual rendition of the festival.
The festival will be held Aug. 30 through Sept. 3 in downtown Morgan City featuring a carnival, music on the Petroleum Heritage Stage in Lawrence Park as well as on the Gospel Stage at M.D. Shannon Elementary and the 49th Artists Guild Unlimited Show and Sale at the Everett Street Gallery.
Also featured will be the 35th arts and crafts sale under the E.J. “Lionel” Grizzaffi U.S. 90 Bridge or the local cuisine offered in Lawrence Park.
Children’s Day festivities Sept. 1, a Mass in the Park and the Blessing of the Fleet Sept. 2, as well a showing of the Louisiana State University versus University of North Texas game on the Jumbotron in Lawrence Park Sept. 1 are among the highlighted festivities.
