Brothers arrested following fight

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Tuesday night and Wednesday, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:

Two brothers were arrested after a fight.

—Kyle Roy, 19, and Colby Roy, 19, both of Roys Lane, Franklin, were arrested at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday for simple battery. Kyle Roy was arrested at home and Colby Roy was arrested at Franklin Foundation Hospital for simple battery. Kyle Roy’s bail is set at $500, and Colby Roy was released on a $500 bail.

—Michael Anthony Hale, 21, of Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on U.S. 90 in Amelia. Hale did not have permission to use the vehicle from the vehicle’s owner. He was jailed with no bail set.

—Vintrella J. Boyd, 31, of Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested at his residence at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday for resisting an officer by giving false information, three counts of resisting an officer, disturbing the peace by language and a failure-to-appear warrant from the Thibodaux Police Department. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at the home, and upon arrival at the home and upon speaking with Boyd, he repeatedly gave the deputy different names, the report stated. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.

The Berwick Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday, according to Chief James Richard:

—William Smith, 53, of Sixth Street, Berwick, was arrested at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday at the BPD for disturbing the peace intoxicated. He called police Tuesday night, complaining that he was told that it was a Cleco problem and that police could do nothing about it, the report stated. He called police again Wednesday morning yelling and talking about the same problem and he threatened to come to the police station about the problem, police reported. He came to the police station, was arrested and remains jailed with bail set at $160.

—Antoinette Davis, 34, of MacArthur Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday on Sixth Street in Berwick for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer with force. She remains jailed with a $450 bail and a probation hold.
