Mr. Warren “Hawk Eye” Hawkins Sr., 55, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at 11:10 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a short illness.

He is survived by his wife, Theressa Gatlin Hawkins of Baldwin; mother, Loys Jolivette Hawkins of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three sons, Staff Sergeant Warren Hawkins Jr. and wife, Kia, of Kileen, Texas, Sergeant Chester Hawkins of Baton Rouge and Jeral Hawkins of Baldwin; one daughter, Samantha Hawkins of Baldwin; two brothers, Archie Hawkins Jr. and wife, Mary, of Houston, Texas, and Gerard Hawkins and wife, Patrice, of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Rosalynn Robinson and husband, Johnny, of Fort Lauderdale and Dr. Fanny C. Hawkins of Houston, Texas; and 13 grandchildren.

Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his father.

Visitations will be observed Monday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin.

Burial rites will be read Monday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with Bishop Alton Gatlin of Lafayette officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery in Baldwin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
