The vehicle ramp on the parish-owned Blevins building was being removed Friday as part of modifications and improvements to the building that was once a car dealership owned by the Blevins family. The renovations will provide additional parish government offices. The project that also includes exterior waterproofing and window painting is costing just over $1 million and is being funded with proceeds from a $6.8 million bond package from the 1-cent sales tax dedicated to capital improvements on public buildings.
