St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the past 24-hour reporting period:

Morris Madison, 43, of 403 Clark St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 3:51 p.m. on the U.S. 90 frontage road at Dixie Road in Franklin on charges of disturbing the peace, theft, two counts of criminal trespass and resisting an officer.

Madison allegedly took two pit bulls from the parish animal shelter without the proper paperwork and attempted to elude deputies after being reported. He was held without bond and the dogs were returned to the shelter.

Delores Cooks, 57, of 311 Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 11:53 a.m. at 500 Main St. in Franklin on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court to face 10 counts of issuing worthless checks. She was released on a $250 bond.

Rebecca Martin, 40, of 2090 River Road, Berwick, Thursday at 10:05 a.m. at 3225 Third St., Berwick, on a warrant charging her with failure to appear for a drug court status conference. Bond was set at $100,000.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:

Manuel Louis Arnouville, 40, of Jamie Court, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 6:23 p.m. on charges of second offense DWI and driving under suspension for certain prior offenses. Bond had not been set as of this morning.

Galen Thomas Gaudet, 53, of Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 7:39 p.m. on a charge of remaining where forbidden. He was booked and released on $500 bond.

Two 12-year-old boys were arrested Thursday on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting and later released to guardians, pending possible juvenile court proceedings.
