Velma “Cora Lee” Pickette Jerry, 82, a resident of Dallas and native of Franklin died suddenly at 2:55 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Franklin.

She is survived by her son Carl Pickette of Dallas; seven daughters, Josie A. (John) Ford of Desoto, Texas, Shirley (James) Ray and Julia (Thurman) Cury, both of Crandell, Texas, Joyce (Charlie) Harton, Alice Thomas and Norma (Clarence) Wheaton, all of Dallas, and Brenda (Howard) Gray of Red Oak, Texas; brothers Joseph Bell Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, Herbert James Bell of Baldwin and Early James Bell of Dallas; sisters Pearly Bell and Linda White, both of Dallas; 21 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Otis Mortuary Chapel. Burial rites will be read at 1 p.m. and interment will follow at Main Street Cemetery in Franklin.

The Rev. W.J. Otis will officiate.
