Bayou Vista Garden Club holds annual sale

Bayou Vista Garden Club recently held a Trash to Treasure and Plant Sale at the Bayou Vista Community Center. The variety of plants, propagated by BVGC members, included agapanthus, aloe vera, bromeliads, butterfly ginger, butterfly weed (A. tuberosa), daisies, daylilies, Coral Fountain firecrackers (Russelia equisetiformis), kalanchoe, Louisiana iris, Mexican petunias (Ruellia brittoniana), mock orange (Philadelphus), walking iris (Neomarica gracilis), and wild petunias (Ruellia sp.). BVGC expressed its thanks all those who contributed items to the sale. From left are BVGC members Janice Verret, Marge Williams, Kim Alcina, Mary Myers, Dawn Thomason, Ann Breaux, Gloria Roy, Verdie Laws, Nancy Marcel and Donna Bucci. Also assisting were Della Topham, Jo Ann Ryan and Crystal Marcel.
