Bernadette “Bernie” Lyall Bergeron, 74, a native of Gibson and a resident of Patterson passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at her home while surrounded by her family and friends.

Bernie is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Oscar “Red” Bergeron of Patterson; four children, Sheryl Perez of New Orleans, Terry Bergeron of Patterson, Jerri Smith of Baton Rouge and Bobbie Rochel of Patterson; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three sisters.

The family requested that visitation be observed Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Hargrave Funeral Home.

Visitation will resume Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. at the funeral home with services at 10 a.m. Graveside services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Hargrave Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
