Parish Council meets Wednesday

Members of the St. Mary Parish Council will meet in regular session Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Items on the agenda include:

—Consideration of proposed ordinances on a $2.4 million refinancing bond, and a specific use permit to erect a communications tower at 299 Grandwood St., Patterson. A public hearing on the ordinances will be called at 5:45 p.m.

—Guest appearances by Red Ribbon Week representatives to request the adoption of a proclamation supporting Oct. 19-28 as Drug-Free Week; Raintree Elementary 4-H leaders and students to request adoption of a proclamation declaring Oct. 7-13 as National 4-H Week; and recipients of certificates of appreciation for their efforts in making the St. Mary Parish portion of the Bicentennial Quilt.

—Resolutions on a change order and notice of completion on the Thorguson Road project; a change order and notice of completion on the landfill expansion project; setting solid waste tipping fees; and execution of an audit engagement letter for 2013 calendar year with the Pitts & Matte firm.

The meeting will be held on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin and is open to the public.
