Long-time school board member

TUNICA – Services for long-time School Board member Malcolm Cornette will be Wednesday. He died Oct. 14 at age 85.

He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a cattle rancher and member of the West Feliciana School Board for 18 years.

Survivors include his wife Joyce, two sons and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Charlete.

28-year police chief

WINNSBORO – Services for former Chief of Police A.W. “Buddy” Wright will be Wednesday. He died Oct. 14 at age 81.

He was a cattleman and was a Winnsboro police officer for 30 years, 28 of them as chief.

Survivors include three children.
