Vanetta and Claude “Skippy” Foulcard Jr. of Franklin wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sparkles Claunetta Foulcard to Aquino Keynell Charles Sr.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Franklin Senior High School, a graduate of Northwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a graduate of Ashford University with a master’s degree in healthcare administration. She is currently employed with Northside Hospital.

The prospective groom is the son of Diannia and Michael Charles and the grandson of James Colar, all of Jeanerette. He is a 2004 graduate of Jeanerette High School, a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Ashford University. He is currently employed as a store manager at Walmart.

The wedding ceremony will take place Saturday, November 3 at 5 p.m. at Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Baldwin. A reception will be held following the ceremony at the Patterson Civic Center, followed by an after party.

Upon returning from their honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
