Central Catholic continued its rise up the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s power rankings as it now sits in the top spot in Division 5 (Classes A, B, C), according to the latest unofficial rankings released today.

The Lady Eagles, who moved up to No. 2 last week, took the top spot from Episcopal School of Acadiana. CCHS (18-9) has a power ranking of 16.93, while ESA (28-4) has a power ranking of 16.73.

Among other local schools, Morgan City rose one spot from a week ago to 11th in Division 2. The Lady Tigers (16-11) have a power ranking of 11.44.

In Division 3, Berwick (6-16) improved one spot to 19th from a week ago, while Patterson (11-8) slipped one spot to 22nd. Berwick has a power ranking of 7.59, while Patterson holds a 7.17 ranking.

St. Thomas More holds the top spot in Division 2 with a 23-8 record and a ranking of 18.60, while Ursuline Academy is tops in Division 3 with a 25-7 mark and a 16.10 power ranking.
