Someone identifying himself as Shane with River City Publishing is calling those in the visitors guide informing them that the company is working on the Cajun Coast Visitors Guide, she said. He says that one of the advertisers is moving to the back of the guide and that you can move to the front if you give them your credit card number immediately, Stansbury said.
This is a scam and the Cajun Coast has no affiliation to River City Publishing, Stansbury said.
The Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau will bill advertisers directly, she said. Do not give your credit card number to him, she said.
