Central Catholic High School will enter the Division 5 prep volleyball playoffs as the No. 3 seed and will receive a first-round bye because of its high seeding.

The Lady Eagles (24-11), who won the Division 5, District 1 title, enter behind top seed Episcopal School of Acadiana and No. 2 seed Metairie Park-Country Day.

The Lady Eagles will play the winner of No. 14 seed Ecole Classique and No. 19 seed Christian Life in the second round, which must be complete by Monday.

Second round winners advance to the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner where the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals for the five classifications of Louisiana volleyball will be held.

In their final regulars season action Saturday at the Episcopal School of Acadiana “Spooktacular” Tournament, the Lady Eagles fell to St. Joseph’s Academy (26-28, 14-25) but defeated Assumption (25-23, 29-27).

Against St. Joseph’s, Meo Knight led Central Catholic with 10 kills, two digs, three solo blocks and a block assist, while Celine Flores contributed four kills, two aces and five digs.

Other top Lady Eagles contributors included Brie Hill, three kills and three solo blocks; Caroline Byrne, 15 assists and a dig; Abbie Bergeron, one assist and nine digs; Olivia Crawford, an ace and five digs; Maria Templet, five digs; and Gee Garrett, an assist, two solo blocks and a block assist.

In the win against Assumption, Knight recorded 12 kills, four digs and three solo blocks, while Hill recorded six kills, a dig, four solo blocks and two block assists.

Other top Central Catholic contributors included Byrne, 25 assists and a dig; Garrett, eight kills; Flores, a kill, an ace and five digs; and Bergeron, eight digs.
