BGC holds Blue Star Marker ceremony

Berwick Garden Club held a Blue Star Memorial Marker service Friday at the Berwick Civic Complex. Duval Arthur, head of St. Mary Parish Homeland Security, praises those who served in the military as club chaplain Lynn Giroir looks on, top photo. He participated in the wreath-laying ceremony, bottom photo, with Daniel Goodwin, 13-year Army veteran. The ceremony was one of many held throughout the Tri-City area in observance of Veterans Day.
