A budget/finance committee meeting of the whole council is slated at 5 p.m. followed by public hearings on the proposed 2013 fiscal year budget at 5:30 p.m. and proposed ordinances on an office lease agreement with the United Houma Nation and new salaries for the parish coroner and staff at 5:45 p.m.
The regular meeting begins at 6 p.m. Items on that agenda include consideration of the two proposed ordinances as well as:
—Introduction of an ordinance setting the council clerk’s salary.
—Resolutions on a certificate of substantial completion on the St. Joseph area fire truck storage building by Acadiane’ Renovations Ltd.; and professional services agreement on disaster management and recovery monitoring services.
—A request by at-large Councilman Steve Bierhorst to transfer $10,000 from the Wards 5 and 8 three-tenths percent sales tax fund to the City of Patterson for drainage improvements.
All of the meetings will be held on the fifth floor of the parish courthouse in Franklin and are open to the public.
