PATTERSON, La. -- Artists Boon Businelli and Brandi Giraldo of Boondocks Tattoo in Patterson will be featured during Comic Con in New Orleans Nov. 30 through Dec. 2.

Television and movie stars, along with thousands of visitors, will be in attendance at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

According to the Comic Con website, Businelli broke into the tattoo industry in 1995 and began practicing this ancient form of extreme art along the southern coast of the U.S.

After many years of blood, sweat and tears, in 2006, Boon opened Boondocks Tattoo. His creative work spans several mediums including sculpture, oil, music and writing. At an early age, Boon discovered comic book art which he attributes to be the catalyst of his artistic endeavors.

Boondocks Tattoo is located at 122 B Park St. in Patterson. It is open from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday each week.
