Decorated fighter pilot, wing commander

SHREVEPORT – Services for decorated figher pilot and retired wing commander Col. James McClelland will be Saturday. He died Nov. 12 at age 82.

He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, flying 100 combat mission in the F-105 in the latter. He was later commander of the 474 Tactical Fighter Wing. He held the Distiguished Flying Cross and other medals.

Survivors include two sons.

Arrangements are by Osborn.

Two-war Marines vet, grocery exec

BATON ROUGE – Services for decorated retired US Marine and grocery executive Hillar C. Moore, Jr. will be Monday. He died Nov. 14 at age 87.

He was a veteran of World War II (Guam, Iwo Jima) and the Korean War. He was former president of Louisiana Grocers Cooperative in New Orleans and retired president of Associated Grocers in Baton Rouge. He was active in number of civic projects.

Survivors include four sons and two daughters.

Retired banker

MOWATA – Services for retired banker Robert Boone will be Friday. He died Nov. 14 at age 73.

He retired as senior vice president of the Bank of Commerce, for which he worked more than 40 years.

Survivors include his wife Romona, three sons and two daughters.

Arrangements are by Geesey-Ferguson.
