Howard Applon Sr., 73, a resident of Jeanerette, (Big Four Corners), died Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Iberia Medical Center, at 9:30 p.m.
Visitation will be Friday, November 16, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 p.m. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Ashton.
Howard leaves to cherish his memories his five daughters, Ernestine Applon and Tonya Applon of Antioch, California; Caroly (Eric) Applon and Alandria Applon, both Oakland, California, and Jeannette Applon of Sacramento, California; one son, Howard L. Applon Jr. of Houston, Texas; two stepdaughters, Cynthia (Kerry) Joe and Stephanie Jackson, both of Four Corners; one stepson, Authur (Glenda) Jackson of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Annett Etheridge, Jeannette (John) Brooks and Mattie Applon, all of Houston, and Emma Applon of California; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Henry) Fontenot of Beaumont, Texas and Rebecca Howard Stanton of Sorrell; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, two stepdaughters, three brothers, three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
