FRANKLIN, La. -- Michael J. Jackson, 44, 867 Big Four Corners Road, Four Corners, was arrested at 7:50 a.m. Friday on several drug charges, according to a news release from St. Mary Sheriff Mark Hebert.

Hebert stated Jackson has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule III (Lorcet), possession of Schedule III (Lortab), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of juveniles.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. Friday St. Mary Parish Sheriff' s Office Narcotics Division detectives conducted a search warrant at the Four Corners address where Jackson was arrested, Hebert stated.

Upon entering the residence detectives located two juvenile males, 11 and 4 years old, he stated. Detectives also located cocaine with a street value of about $2,000, several bags of marijuana, Lorcet and Lortab pills and multiple items of drug paraphernalia, he stated.

Jackson was taken to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center where he was booked and jailed, the report stated.

No bail had been set as of Friday.
