City crews are setting up the decorations along the Main Street boulevard this week, ringing in the start of the holiday season. The city’s Christmas parade and lamp-lighting ceremony is Thursday, Nov. 29. Also, the Franklin Garden Club and the city are sponsoring the annual lighting and decorating contest with judging on Dec. 11 in residential and business categories.
