Line-up for the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Jackson and Main Streets.
There is still room for more veterans, churches, schools, alumnae and alumni chapters of sororities and fraternities, community groups and civic and social organizations to participate. Additionally, there is still time to register golf carts. The deadline to register as a golf cart driver or as a walker has been extended to Wednesday. Registration is free.
To register as a walker, all you have to do is contact the Office of Community Development (337-828-6345 or at email@example.com) and provide the name of the organization, contact information for the organization’s leader and the number of people participating.
To register your golf cart, contact the Office of Community Development and ask for a registration form, which can be picked up at City Hall or faxed or e-mailed to you.
There will be fun for the whole family, including trolley rides to view the Christmas decorations and funnel cakes and hot chocolate that will be sold by Chez Hope. The City of Franklin hopes that you and your family will join our families for the parade and the revealing of this year’s Lamplighters.
Hint: This year’s Lamplighters belong to an organization that has members from around the world.
