CENTERVILLE — Berwick boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, as well as the Morgan City boys’ squad, will participate in Centerville High School’s Tournament of the Teche, which begins Thursday.

Action will begin at 3:30 p.m. with two girls’ games, one between Berwick and Houma Christian in the school’s junior high gym, while another matchup between Lafayette Christian and Centerville girls’ teams will play in the new gym.

Boys’ action begins at 5 p.m., with all games played in the new gym.

At 5 p.m., Berwick and Morgan City will meet, while at 6:30 p.m. Jeanerette and E.D. White will meet.

At 8 p.m., Franklin and Centerville will square off.

Hanson’s girls and Houma Christian’s boys also will be participating but won’t begin action until Friday.

The tournament will conclude Saturday with the girls’ third-place game at 10:30 a.m., the girls’ final at noon, the boys’ consolation at 1:30 p.m., the boys’ third-place matchup at 3 p.m. and the boys’ final at 4:30 p.m.
