Westgate defeated the Patterson Lumberjills 51-20 Wednesday in the first round of the Westgate Lady Tiger Classic.
Top contributors included Nakia Brooks, eight points and three rebounds; Jazmin Evans, six points, two assists and a steal; and Tiera Butler scored four points, three rebounds and two steals.
Patterson (0-2) will return to action in the tournament Friday against West St. Mary at 5 p.m. in an elimination game.
Central Catholic also is participating in the 12-team tournament and will begin play today at 5 p.m. against Franklin.
