Despite having lost all state and federal funding, the St. Mary Parish Council on Aging continues to provide valuable services to the elderly across the parish. First photo, Executive Director Beverly Domengeaux mans the COA booth at the recent Red Ribbon Bazaar where the agency shared information and raised funds through cookbook sales and a gift basket raffle; second photo, 13 residents completed a driving safety course offered by the agency and taught by John Benge; third photo, canned good donations collected at a recent Patterson soccer game were used to provide homebound seniors with Thanksgiving baskets. For more information about services contact the agency at 828-4100, ext. 303 or visit the Senior Center at 400 Iberia St.
